Hello World!

About me.

Hey! My name's Ross and I'm a developer living in Chicago, IL. I'm interested in building online experiences that make life a little nicer, easier, or more fun for people.

Before becoming a programmer, I worked in digital marketing for nonprofits and political campaigns. There I saw, first-hand, the transformative power techonology had to organize communities around causes. I also saw the destructive way it enabled targeted half-truths and conspiracies to spread.

I wanted to see more of the positive and less of the negative, so I decided to learn to code. I enrolled in a computer science master's degree and haven't looked back.

When I'm not coding, I like cycling, pickling veggies, making fancy coffee, and watching garbage television with my wife and our cat, Marcia.
